Bissell Hoop Project

Nothing makes me happier than working on projects for community-building organizations. The Bissell Hoop Project is a fundraising effort out of Centre Wellington, Ontario to bring high quality nets and a safe playing surface to the community of Elora.

Good luck Bissell Hoops, looking forward to practicing my hook shot there this summer!

Art Photo – Studio Branding

Dieter Stöpfgeshoff recently turned his home office and studio into a stunning public gallery to showcase his work and feature the work of other artists and photographers. The space, tucked behind his house in Gävle, Sweden hasn’t been open for long but is already receiving large crowds and great praise. It was a treat to work with Dieter to bring his vision of a modern brand for this new space to life.

Below, some of the iterations we looked at, I played around with some ideas around framing and wanted the idea to work well in black and white so we could pop in colour later. In the end Dieter’s initial concept turned out to be our favourite!

Ben&Sonia’s Wedding

It was such a joy to celebrate my dear friends Ben and Sonia this past summer at their wedding in Elora, and even more fun to work with them on the Screen Shot 2016-01-05 at 12.13.34 PMstationary for their big day. Ben and Sonia are two of the loveliest people I know, always giving and supporting their community and their friends and it was more than time to celebrate them. The wedding was held at the end of August in Elora at a park near their home, with dinner and reception following at the local Art Centre. It was a perfect community space for the big day; the grounds were freshly mowed and adorned with a large white tent, guests arrived to find an oyster shucking bar and wandered the lush lawn sipping on homemade cocktails in mason jars before they sat down to long wooden harvest tables laden with burlap runners and locally grown flowers. The night continued with Toronto’s best funk/soul/Motown/r&b band getting everyone moving and dancing and ended with a grand piano accompanied rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody. Surrounded by friends and family, these two incredible community builders and entrepreneurs deserved the party they had. Thanks for letting me a part of your incredible day guys! Lots of love!

  • Top image features the tickets the couple wanted made up to invite members of the community to the dance in the evening (lucky folks, the band was incredible!! The St. Royals)
  • Invitations and ‘Save the Dates’, done in a chalkboard style were meant to have a fun but modern look, I incorporated the bicycles when the couple told me they would be riding from the ceremony to the reception on an adorable bicycle built for two!
